Removing Charge - Air Cooler

CAUTION: Hot components

Risk of burns
1. → Let hot components cool down.
2. → Wear personal protective gear.

Have suitable stoppers ready for closing off the connections.
Only when removing right charge-air cooler :
Disconnect electric line from right charge-air cooler.

Electric lines for right charge-air cooler
1. 2.1 Unclip clip -1- .
2. 2.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2- .
Only when removing left charge-air cooler: Disconnect lines from left charge-air cooler.

Electric lines for left charge-air cooler
1. 3.1 Unclip clips -1- .
2. 3.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2- .
Disconnect pressure pipe -1- .

Pressure pipe on charge-air cooler 4.1 Unscrew screws for charge-air cooler -3- at the pressure pipe flange -1- .
Disconnect pressure hose -1- at the bottom.

Pressure hose at the bottom
1. 5.1 Loosen screw-type clamp -2- .
2. 5.2 Pull off pressure hose -1- .
3. 5.3 Close off connections with stoppers.
Only when removing left charge-air cooler: Disconnect radiator -1- from charge-air cooler -2- .

Radiator on charge-air cooler
1. 6.1 Release retaining lugs -Arrows- .
2. 6.2 Guide the radiator -1- up out of the holders -3- .
3. 6.3 Suspend the radiator -1- at a suitable position.
Remove charge-air cooler -1- .

1. 7.1 Unscrew screws on charge-air cooler -2- .
2. 7.2 Remove charge-air cooler -1- from holder -3- .
3. 7.3 Close off connections with stoppers.
