Removing Fuel Line (Right High-Pressure Pump To Rail)

- Remove heat shield -1-

Heat shield
- 1.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2- .
- 1.2
Unscrew screws -3-
.
Use T30 bit from > VAS 262 011 - socket wrench set .
- 1.3 Remove heat shield -1- .
- Expose the cable duct.
Bracket for torque support and vent line
- 2.1 Unscrew screws -1 and 2- and remove torque support bracket -3- .
- 2.2 Release and pull off vent line -4- on the oil mist separator.
- Detach cable duct -8-

Overview of cable duct
- 3.1 Unscrew nuts -7- on ground lines.
- 3.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connections -1 to 6- .
WARNING: Hot fuel and hot fuel lines.- Danger of scalding
- → Allow the fuel to cool down before opening line connections.
- → Wear protective gloves.
- → Wear protective goggles.
Information
- Open connections and lines must be closed off using suitable stoppers or caps.
Information
Check fuel line for damage following removal and replace it if necessary.
- Install fuel line -1-

- 4.1 Have suitable stoppers or caps ready for closing off line connections.
- 4.2 Unscrew screw -2- and screw off union nuts -3- .
- 4.3 Lift up the cable duct and sound absorber and remove fuel line -1- .
