Removing Knock Sensor

  1. Only for removing front knock sensor on cylinder bank 1:

    Ventilation line

    Disconnect ventilation line -4-  .

    1. 1.1  Release and disconnect quick connector on ventilation line 1.2 
    2. 1.2  Pull solenoid valve -2-  out of the holder -3-  and move it and the ventilation line -4-  aside as far as required so that the knock sensor is accessible.
  2. Remove knock sensor -1-  .

    Knock sensor

    1. 2.1  Release and disconnect electric plug connection for knock sensor -2-  .
    2. 2.2  Unscrew screw on knock sensor -3-  .
    3. 2.3  Remove knock sensor -1-  .
