Removing Supply Line - Section From High-Pressure Pump To High-Pressure Pump

Information
- Escaping fuel must be soaked up using suitable binding material.
- The fuel system must be depressurized before starting work on it.
- Only work on the fuel system in well-ventilated rooms.
- Any seals that were removed must always be replaced.
- Never use sealant containing silicone or silicone spray when the injection system is open. Traces of silicone drawn in by the engine are not combusted and damage the oxygen sensors.
Information
Plastic lines must not be kinked or bent as this can make them brittle and start to leak.
- Have suitable aids ready for collecting emerging fuel.
- Have suitable stoppers ready for closing off the line connections.
- Disconnect section of supply line -1-
in the engine compartment.

- 3.1 Release and disconnect quick connector on supply line -2- in the engine compartment.
- 3.2 Collect escaping fuel.
- 3.3 Close off line connections with stoppers.
- Disconnect section of supply line
Electric plug connection for fuel low-pressure sensor
- 4.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection for fuel low-pressure sensor -2- .
- 4.2 Unscrew screw on supply line holder -3- .
- Disconnect coolant line -1-
Coolant lines
- 5.1
Disconnect quick connector -2-
.
- 5.1.1 Lift up spring clamp -3- so that the locking mechanism is exposed.
- 5.1.2 Pull off quick connector -2- .
- 5.2 Unscrew screws for coolant lines -5- .
- 5.3 Move coolant line -1- aside so that the supply line is accessible.
- 5.4 Close off line connections with stoppers.

Disconnect quick connector -2-

- Remove section of supply line -1-

- 6.1 Unscrew screws on holder for section of supply line -2- .
- 6.2 Unscrew union nuts for supply line -3- at the high-pressure pumps.
- 6.3 Guide out section of supply line -1-
- 6.4 Close off line connections with stoppers.
