Removing Tank Vent

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

Have suitable stoppers ready for closing off the line connections.
Disconnect tank vent line -1- at line connection -2- and close off line connections using stoppers.

Remove engine wire harness guides -1- on both cylinder banks.

Engine wire harness guide (shown on right cylinder bank)
1. 3.1 Disengage electric plug connection -2- from holder and release and disconnect it.
2. 3.2 Press release tabs -Arrows- on the engine wire harness guide -1- and open engine wire harness guide
3. 3.3 Remove engine wire harness -3- and set it aside.
4. 3.4 Unscrew nuts on engine wire harness guide -4- .
5. 3.5 Remove engine wire harness guide -1-
6. 3.6 Repeat the procedure on the opposite cylinder bank.
Release and disconnect electric plug connections for tank vent valves on the left and right cylinder bank.
Disconnect tank vent line connections -3- .

Tank vent line connection on intake-air distributor
1. 5.1 Release and disconnect quick connector for tank vent line connection -3- at the intake-air distributor -2- on both cylinder banks.
2. 5.2 Carefully move tank vent line -1- aside.
3. 5.3 Close off line connections with stoppers.
Unclip tank vent lines -1- from the retaining clips -2- .

Remove tank vent valves -1- with tank vent line -2- .

Tank vent valves
1. 7.1 Unclip line clip -3- .
2. 7.2 Pull tank vent valves -1- on both cylinder banks up out of the holders carefully and without kinking the tank vent line -2- .
3. 7.3 Guide tank vent line -2- with tank vent valves -1- up and out.
