Removing Coolant Regulator

Information

1. Disconnect coolant pipe -1-  .
   1. 1.1  Unscrew screws -2-  .

2. Remove coolant pipe -2-  .

   1. 2.1  Unscrew screws for coolant pipe -1-  .
   2. 2.2  Pull off coolant pipe -2-  and set it aside.
3. Release and disconnect electric plug connection for coolant regulator -2-  .

   WARNING: Hot fluid 

   • Danger of scalding 
     • → Let the fluid cool down.
     • → Wear personal protective gear.
4. Remove coolant regulator (thermostat insert) -1-  .

   1. 4.1  Unscrew screws -2-  .
   2. 4.2  Remove coolant regulator (thermostat insert) -1-  .
5. Pull off seals -1-  using > VW771 - multi-purpose tool  (-2-  ) and > VW771/37 - puller hook (-3-)  .
