Installing Coolant Pump

Information

Coat O-rings, hoses and lines in the cooling system with Kluberplus Gel (Part No. 000.043.205.93).

Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:

Coolant pump screws
1. 1.1 Carefully clean the sealing faces.
2. 1.2 Fit new seals on the coolant pump and on the coolant pipes.
3. 1.3 Tighten screws for coolant pump in the sequence -7 to 1- .
  > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
4. 1.4 Tighten screws securing coolant pipe over coolant pump.
  > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
5. 1.5 Tighten screws for coolant pipe on cylinder head at the shut-off valve.
  > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
6. 1.6 Tighten screws for coolant pump pulley.
  > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
