Bleeding The Cooling System

Information 

  1. Connect a battery charger.

    > 2X00IN TRICKLE CHARGING 12-VOLT LITHIUM-ION BATTERY

  2. During the Tester routine and warm-up phase, check the engine oil temperature -1-  and coolant temperature -2-  on the instrument cluster.

    The Tester does not monitor the temperatures automatically! 

    If the temperatures are too high, cancel the process manually!

  3. Bleed the system using the PIWIS Tester. 
    1. 3.1 PIWIS Tester  must be connected to the vehicle.
    2. 3.2  Switch on ignition and PIWIS Tester. 
    3. 3.3  Start the diagnostic application and select Engine electronics (DME)  in the control unit search screen.
    4. 3.4  Switch to the Maintenance/repairs  menu item.
    5. 3.5  Select Work on the high-temperature cooling system  and press F12 to confirm your selection.
    6. 3.6  Start the Bleed high-temperature cooling system  procedure and follow the instructions on the PIWIS Tester. 
    7. 3.7  Erase fault memory.
