Removing Chain Tensioner - Left Cylinder Bank

NOTIFICATION
Incorrect handling of crankshafts
- Risk of damage to the timing system
- Never turn the crankshaft against the rolling direction or when the chain tensioner is removed.
- Proceed carefully with your work.
- Only turn the engine at the crankshaft.
- Observe general warning notes and working regulations.
- Turn the crankshaft using > T40263 - wrench, 21 mm
and > T40314 - adapter
until the vibration damper is aligned with the TDC marking
on the corresponding marking on the engine and the markings -1-
on the camshaft timing gears are aligned with the relevant marking -Arrows-
on the camshaft housing. Turn the crankshaft further by one turn if necessary.

- Remove chain tensioner -1-

Securing chain tensioner - let, cylinder bank
- 2.1 Press the chain tensioner piston -1- back slowly as far as it will go by applying constant pressure using a suitable tool and then lock it using > T03006 - locking pin (-3-) .
- 2.2 Unscrew screws -2- and remove chain tensioner -1- .
