Subsequent Work

  1. Install muffler.

    > 825919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SILENCER

  2. Only if removed: 

    Install steering gear.

    > Removing and installing power-steering gear 

  3. Install Cardan shaft.

    > Removing and installing Cardan shaft 

  4. Install exhaust system.

    > Removing and installing exhaust system 

  5. Install both front wheel housing liners.

    > Removing and installing front wheel housing liner 

  6. Secure coolant reservoir.

    > Removing and installing coolant reservoir 

  7. Top up coolant.

    > Draining and filling coolant 

  8. Install front-axle support.

    > Removing and installing front-axle support 

  9. Only for vehicles with V6: 

    Secure air-conditioning compressor.

    > Removing and installing air-conditioning compressor 

    > 873419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR-CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR

  10. Only for vehicles with V8: 

    Securing refrigerant lines on air-conditioning compressor

    > 874519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPRESSOR/EVAPORATOR LINE (SECTION FROM AIR-CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR TO INTERNAL HEAT EXCHANGER)

  11. Install air box for air cleaner.

    > Removing and installing air-cleaner cowl 

  12. Install torque support.

    > Removing and installing torque support 

  13. Install intake pipe.

    > Removing and installing intake manifold (V6 monoturbo) 

    > Removing and installing intake manifold (V6 biturbo) 

    > Removing and installing intake manifold (V8 biturbo) 

  14. Install air cleaner housing.

    > Removing and installing air cleaner housing 

  15. Only vehicles with PDK: 

    Perform start-up procedure for 48 V vehicle electrical system.

    > Work instruction for 48 V vehicle electrical system 

  16. Connect the battery.

    > Removing and installing battery/vehicle electrical system 

  17. Connect return line -2-  at the engine connection point.

    Return line - engine connection point 

    1. 17.1  Remove stopper.
    2. 17.2  Secure hose clamp on return line -1-  .
  18. Connect vacuum line -1-  to vacuum reservoir.

  19. Connect supply line -1-  at connection point in engine compartment.

    1. 19.1  Remove stopper.
    2. 19.2  Connect and lock quick connector on supply line -2-  in the engine compartment.
  20. Perform suspension alignment.

    > 449503 PERFORMING VEHICLE FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION ALIGNMENT
