→ Only appropriately trained and authorized persons are permitted to work on high-voltage vehicles and components.
→ Required qualification: High voltage technician or high voltage expert.
→ Observe national requirements and legislation for this work.
→ Always use insulated tools, e.g. > VAS 6883 - Insulated Tool Set when working on these components.
→ Observe general warning notes for working on the high-voltage system.
> 2X00IN GENERAL WARNING NOTES FOR WORKING ON THE HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM
Preliminary work for measurement 9
(Electric air-conditioning compressor and related high-voltage line)
Connect high-voltage test adapter > VAS 6558/9-6 - High-voltage test adapter HVA 280 to high-voltage line (power electronics - electric A/C compressor). Leave the second connection open.
Measurement 9
Perform measurement 9.
Setpoint value > 10 MOhm
Evaluate measured result
If the measured value is within the tolerance range, repeat measurement.
Contact Technical Support.
If the measured value is outside of the tolerance range, continue with measurement 9.1
Preliminary work for measurement 9.1
(High-voltage line from power electronics to electric A/C compressor)
Disconnect air-conditioning compressor.
> 873419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR-CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR - on "Removing"
Release and disconnect high-voltage line (power electronics - electric A/C compressor) at the electric air-conditioning compressor.
Connect high-voltage test adapter > VAS 6558/9-6 - High-voltage test adapter HVA 280 to high-voltage line (power electronics - electric A/C compressor). Leave the second connection open.
Measurement 9.1
Perform measurement 9.1.
Setpoint value > 550 MOhm
Evaluate measured result.
If the measured value is within the tolerance range, replace air-conditioning compressor.
After replacing the electric air-conditioning compressor, repeat measurement 9.
If the measured value is outside of the tolerance range, replace high-voltage line.
After replacing the high-voltage line, repeat measurement 9.
