Removing Coolant Reservoir (Low-Temperature Cooling System)

- Have suitable stoppers ready for closing off the line connections.
- Have suitable aids ready for collecting emerging coolant.
- Drain the coolant reservoir.
- Disconnect vent line -1-

Vent line on coolant reservoir
- 4.1 Loosen spring band clamp -2- using > VAS 6890 - spring band clamp pliers and move it as far as required until the vent line -1- can be disconnected.
- 4.2 Unclip vent line -1- from clip -3- .
- 4.3 Pull vent line -1- off the coolant reservoir -4- .
- 4.4 Collect emerging coolant.
- 4.5 Close off line connections with stoppers.
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection for coolant reservoir -1-

- Disconnect coolant hose -1-

- 6.1 Clamp off coolant hose -1- using > 3093 - hose clamp .
- 6.2 Loosen spring band clamp -2- using > VAS 6890 - spring band clamp pliers and move it as far as required until the coolant hose -1- can be disconnected.
- 6.3 Pull coolant hose -1- off the coolant reservoir -3- .
- 6.4 Close off line connections with stoppers.
- Remove coolant reservoir -1- .
Removing coolant reservoir
- 7.1 Release retaining lugs -2- using a suitable tool.
- 7.2 Remove coolant reservoir -1- by pulling it up out of the holder.
