Removing High-Pressure Pump

WARNING:
Highly inflammable or explosive materials

- → Use suction to remove ignitable vapors.
- → Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.
- → Contain leaked media using non-flammable absorbent material and put it in a container designed for this purpose for disposal in accordance with local requirements.
- → Secure collection containers/vessels to prevent them from tipping over.

- → Wear personal protective gear.

NOTIFICATION
Fuel system is still pressurized
- Risk of eye injuries
- → Wear personal protective gear.
- → Place a cloth around the joint.
- → Release pressure by carefully pulling off lines and hoses.
Information
- Soak up emerging fuel using suitable binding material or cloths.
- Dispose of fuel-soaked cloths according to applicable national laws.
- The fuel system must be depressurized.
- Only work on the fuel system in well-ventilated rooms.
- Always replace removed seals.
- Do not use any sealant containing silicone or silicone spray when the injection system is open. Traces of silicone drawn in by the engine are not combusted and damage the oxygen sensors.
Information

- Close off open connections and lines using suitable stoppers or caps.
- Remove sound absorber on high-pressure pump -1-

- Unclip lines -2-
from holder -3-
and push them aside.

- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -4-

- Unscrew union nuts -5-
and remove fuel lines -6-

and remove high-pressure pump -8-
