Loosen ground strap for battery.

Remove the cover on lock carrier.
- > 703919 REMOVING AND FITTING THE COVER ON LOCK CARRIER
Vehicles without power unit guard Loosen front cover in the area of the front bumper and air duct brake.
- > WM, 519219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COVER FOR FRONT UNDERBODY
Vehicles with power unit guard Remove power unit guard.
- > 108019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING POWER UNIT GUARD
Remove wheel housing liner front in the front bumper area.
- > WM, 505619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER
Only without Sport Design: Remove front wheel covers.
- > 661919 REMOVING AND FITTING FRONT WHEEL COVER, FRONT
Unscrew the fastening screws -1- and remove the brake -2- air duct.
