Check Brake Booster Vacuum Pump

Hot components
- Risk of burns
- → Let hot components cool down.
- → Wear personal protective gear.
- Pull off vacuum hose -3-
(quick connector) on the -1-

with a suitable hose (accessory) -2-
to the vacuum connection -3-
of the vacuum pump.
Information: accessibility to the hose connection is somewhat difficult.

- Check the vacuum pump.
- 3.1 Lift the lever on the vacuum tester to Open (vacuum).
- 3.2 Start the engine and let it run at idle speed at slightly varying revs.
- 3.3 Check for a vacuum of at least 500 mbar or 0.5 bar.
- 3.4 If the vacuum is not maintained, the vacuum pump is defective.
- Replacing defective vacuum pump.
- Remove the tool and hose after the test.
