Removing Rear Brake CALLIPER

WARNING:
Danger of injury and damage from brake fluid!
- Poisonous if swallowed!
- Irritation and damage to skin
- Avoid contact with paint surfaces
- → Store brake fluid in suitable, labelled containers only
- → Wear protective gloves and goggles
- → In the event of contact (eyes or skin), wash immediately with water
- → In the event of contact with paint surfaces, wash off immediately with water - do not wipe off
NOTIFICATION
Removal of brake calliper
- Paint defects on brake calliper
- → Proceed with care when setting back the brake pads.
- → Protect the paintwork on the brake calliper from damage using a suitable cloth.
Information
- The core of the warning contact line must not be left exposed! Worn insulation will result in malfunctions.
- If necessary, remove a little brake fluid from the reservoir by suction in order to prevent an overflow when the disc brake pads are pushed back!

- Do not use an impact bolter.
- Have suitable aids ready for catching emerging brake fluid.
- Have stoppers ready for closing off the line connections.
- Release electric plug connection for brake pad wear indicator -3-
and pull it off.

- 3.1 Pull off warning contact on the brake pad and disconnect line on the brake calliper.
Information
Collect emerging brake fluid.
- Disconnect brake pipe -7-
.
Brake caliper rear
- 4.1 Unscrew screw on brake line bracket -5- and move brake -4- aside.
- 4.2 Unscrew union nut on brake pipe -6- .
- 4.3 Pull brake pipe -7- out of brake calliper -1- and set it aside.
- 4.4 Close off connections using stoppers.
- Remove brake calliper -1-

- 5.1 Unscrew screws on brake calliper -2- .
- 5.2 Remove brake calliper -1- .
