Installing Rear Brake CALLIPER

Information 

• The use of an impact bolter is not permitted. 
• The thread must be checked visually and may have to be blown out carefully using compressed air. Always wear protective goggles when doing this! 
• Replace screws. 

Information 

Do not bend the brake lines.

1. Visually inspect all components to make sure they are in perfect condition and replace them if necessary.
2. Fit rear brake -1-  calliper.

   Brake caliper rear

   1. 2.1  Reset brake pads using > 9472 - brake piston resetting fixture  .
   2. 2.2  Position brake calliper -1-  .
   3. 2.3  Fit new screws  for brake calliper -2-  and tighten to > Initial tightening 30 Nm (22 ftlb.)  > Final tightening + 75° 
3. Fit brake pipe -7-  .

   Brake caliper rear

   1. 3.1  Fit brake pipe -7-  on brake calliper -1-  .
   2. 3.2  Fit union nut securing brake pipe -6-  to brake calliper -1-  and tighten to > Tightening torque 14 Nm (10.5 ftlb.)  .
   3. 3.3  Position brake line bracket -4-  , fit screw for bracket -5-  and tighten to > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)  .
4. Connect and lock electric plug connection for brake pad wear indicator -3-  .

   Brake caliper rear

   1. 4.1  Fit warning contact on the brake pad and clip line on the brake calliper into the guide.
