Removing Front Brake CALLIPER

NOTIFICATION 

Removal of brake calliper 

• Paint defects on brake calliper 
  1. → Proceed with care when setting back check brake pads.
  2. → Protect the paint work on the brake calliper from damage using a suitable cloth.

Information 

• The core of the warning contact line must not be left exposed! Worn insulation will result in malfunctions. 
• If necessary, remove a little brake fluid from the reservoir by suction in order to prevent an overflow when the disc brake pads are pushed back! 

Information 

• For easier access, turn the steering fully to the left or right! 

Information 

• Do not use an impact bolter. 

1. Have stoppers ready for closing off the line connections. 
2. Only required if the brake calliper must be removed as part of the preliminary work (brake pipe remains fitted):  Loosen line bracket -1-  .

   Wiring bracket

   1. 2.1  Unclip electric lines at holder -1-  .
   2. 2.2  Unscrew screw -2-  .
   3. 2.3  Set line bracket -1-  down in direction -Arrow-  .
3. Release and disconnect electric plug connection for brake pad wear indicator -2-  .

   Information 

   Collect emerging brake fluid.

4. Disconnect brake pipe -4-  .

   1. 4.1  Unscrew union nut on brake pipe -5-  .
   2. 4.2  Remove brake pipe -4-  from front brake calliper -1-  .
   3. 4.3  Close off connections using stoppers.
5. Remove front brake calliper -1-

   1. 5.1  Unscrew screws on brake calliper -3-  .
   2. 5.2  Remove front brake calliper -1-  .
