Removing Crankshaft Vibration Damper

NOTIFICATION
Incorrect handling of tools
- Risk of damage to the body
- → Only use tools approved by Porsche.
- → Always ensure that the tool is seated correctly.
- → Protect the body and interior of the vehicle from damage with protective covers.
- → Cover delicate components with cardboard or sheetmetal panels.
- Unclip cover on deflection roller for V-belt (air-conditioning compressor) -1-
.
Cover on deflection roller for V-belt (air-conditioning compressor)
- Unscrew screw -1-
and remove deflection roller for V-belt (air-conditioning compressor) -2-
.
Deflection roller for V-belt (air-conditioning compressor)
- > T40330 - Counterhold tool (-1-)
must now be fitted.
Brace
- 3.1 Turn the crankshaft at the screw -5- so that > T40330 - counterhold tool (-1-) . can be fitted correctly.
- 3.2 > T40330 - Counterhold tool (-1-) . must be fitted on the crankshaft vibration damper -2- .
- 3.3 Place spacer sleeve T40330/7 (-3-) underneath, screw in screw -4- and tighten to > Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.) .
- Loosen screw -5-

- > T40330 - Counterhold tool (-1-)
. must now be removed.
Brace
- 5.1 Unscrew screw -4- .
- 5.2 Remove spacer sleeve T40330/7 (-3-) and > T40330 - counterhold tool (-1-) .
- Remove crankshaft vibration damper -2-

- 6.1 Unscrew screw -5- fully and remove crankshaft vibration damper -2- .
