Replacing Crankshaft Sealing Ring (Flywheel Side)

NOTIFICATION 

Dirt and contamination 

• Risk of damage to units or components 
  • → Protect components from dirt and contamination.
  • → Clean or replace dirty components.

1. Remove crankshaft sealing ring flywheel -1-  .

   Removing sealing ring flywheel

   1. 1.1  Place the > T20143 - extraction hook-2-  carefully between the sealing ring -1-  and the chain housing cover at the bottom.

      The hook must be pointing to the sealing ring and never to the sealing face. 

   2. 1.2  Carefully lever out crankshaft sealing ring flywheel -1-  . If necessary, reattach at the opposite position.
2. Clean sealing faces on crankshaft and lower chain housing cover.
3. Push new  sealing ring crankshaft flywheel -1-  with the closed side -2-  over the sleeve -3-  from the > T10122 - retraction device  onto the receptacle -4-  .

4. Fit -1-  the new crankshaft sealing ring flywheel -2-  to the crankshaft flange -Arrow-  . Note the position of the centring pin -3-  .

5. Drive the sealing ring with the thrust piece -1-  to the anchor block with a plastic hammer -Arrow-  .

6. Remove pressure piece.
