Removing Actuating Cylinder For Rear Lid

CAUTION: Incorrect handling of actuating cylinders
  • Actuating cylinders can burst
  • Risk of eye injuries
  • Risk of bruising

→ The actuating cylinders must be in idle state in order to remove them.
→ Open the lid fully.
→ Ensure the end position of the lid manually.
→ Secure the lid after removing the actuating cylinders to prevent it from closing accidentally.
→ Do not use force when opening the actuating cylinders due to the high internal pressure.

Information 

The help of another person is required to prevent the rear lid from closing accidentally.

  1. Unlock and disconnect electric plug connection -1-  .

  2. Detach rubber sleeve -1-  and guide electric wire harness out of the rear lid.

  3. Release safety clips -1-  using a suitable tool.

  4. Pull actuating cylinder for rear lid -1-  off the ball pin -2-Arrow-  and remove it.
