Removing Rear Panel

IMPORTANT:
Carefully bend the guide away. The upper section of the bonding area must not become detached.
Only for Powerlift tailgate with vir cual p edal (I no. 4E6).
- Loosen sensor for rear lid opening function from rear panel.

Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-
on control unit for virtual pedal (VIP).

Unclip line bracket -2-
from rear panel.

Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-
on control unit for virtual pedal (VIP).

Cut tie-wrap on sensor and wire harness -2-

- 1.5 Secure control unit for virtual pedal (VIP) on rear apron with adhesive tape.

Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-
on control unit for virtual pedal (VIP).
- Unscrew fastening screws

- Drill out rivets -arrows-
on heat shield.

- Loosen guides at the side -1- (-Arrows-
) until the fastenings for the rear panel are accessible.

- Unclip rear panel -1-
from rear apron.
