Removing Filler Flap (Module)

IMPORTANT:
The filler flap (module) will be damaged during removal and must be replaced during installation.
IMPORTANT:
- Remove the filler flap carefully so as not to damage the paintwork on the side wall.
- Remove cover -1-
from side trim panel.
Emergency release
- Disengage filler flap (module) emergency release -2-
.
Emergency release
- Open fuel tank cap -1-
.
Fuel tank cap
- At the marked positions -arrows A-
, pierce the module using a screwdriver.
Locking lugs on inner part of filler flap (module)
- Release locking lugs -arrows A-
on inner part of filler flap (module).

- Press rubber sleeve in -direction of arrow B-

Locking lugs on inner part of filler flap (module)
- Swivel filler flap (module) -1-
out of the body aperture until the electric plug connection -3-
is accessible.
Filler flap (module)
- 7.1 Pull drain hose -2- off the filler flap (module) -1- .
- 7.2 Release and unplug electric plug connection -3- .
- Disengage emergency release -1-
and remove filler flap (module) -2-
