Preparing Rear Side Panel For Installation

  1. Fit in rear side section Rear side section  .

    Rear side section

    1. 1.1  Cut rear side panel Rear side section  at the points where it joins the body leaving an overlap of 30 mm.
    2. 1.2  Fit in rear side section Rear side section  .

      Check gap dimensions.

    3. 1.3  Make cuts through the rear side section Rear side section  and body in the overlap areas.
  2. Punch holes for flow-form rivets in areas -A and B-  .

  4. Drill bore holes Drilling area  for rivets through both sheetmetal panels.

  5. Cut sheetmetal inserts used as a welding backing strip for the two weld areas from the old rear side panel.

  6. Remove rear side section.
  7. Prepare connection areas Bonding areas  for bonding and riveting.
