Removing Rear Boot Floor Plate (Section)

IMPORTANT: The damaged rear boot floor plate (section) must be cut flush with the flange of the cross member.

Rear boot floor plate (section)

IMPORTANT: Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.
IMPORTANT: Mark cut A in accordance with the new part. Make sure to leave an overlap of approx. 30 mm with respect to the body.
  1. Mark and make cut -Dimension A-  . Distance approx. 30 mm

  2. Unscrew self-tapping screws

  3. Remove punch rivets using VAS 852 001 - dent removal unit  and VAS 6790 - compact booster  in area -A-  .

  4. Heat bonding areas -A-  . V.A.G 1416 - Hot-air blower

  5. Remove rear boot floor plate (section).
  6. Remove punch rivets Punch rivets  using VAS 852 001 - dent removal unit  and VAS 6790 - compact booster  .
