Damage Diagnosis On Aluminium Components

applies for damage diagnosis on aluminium sheet and extruded aluminium components.

Damage diagnosis for damaged areas on cast aluminium components requires greater attention .

Components must always be replaced if chipped paintwork, cracks or other signs of deformation are found.

The dimensions must also be within the permitted dimensional deviations in order to ensure that there is no invisible damage.

If dimensional deviations greater than > Nominal value 0 mm +/- 2 mm are found on cast parts during damage diagnosis, these parts must be replaced.

IMPORTANT:

Due to the narrow tolerances, damage diagnosis and repairs must be carried out using an electronic measuring system (e.g. > VAS 6526/11 - Measuring Unit, Professional or > VAS 811019 - Measuring system) .
