Checking Water Drains On Sliding Roof

Before starting work, check whether the vehicle's sliding roof has internal water drains.
- Open the sliding roof completely.
- If possible, perform a visual inspection of the water drains and remove any dirt.
- Carefully pour 0.5 litre of water -1- into the guide rail on the sliding roof -2- and make sure that water flows directly into the front and rear water drains. Repeat the process by gradually increasing water volumes from 1 litre to 2 litres.

- 3.1 Check that the water drains away immediately in the outlet area and has drained fully within a very short time.
- 3.2 Stop pouring immediately if the water does not flow directly out of the drain. If the water does not emerge or only in droplets, the water drain needs to be cleaned.
