Installing Seat Cross Member

IMPORTANT:
  • Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface. 
IMPORTANT:
  • Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive. 
  • The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed. 
  • Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available. 
  1. Install seat cross member and check that it fits perfectly.
  2. Apply adhesive on bonding areas > Bonding areas  of the body. > Application depth 0.5 mm

  3. Apply adhesive on seat cross member > Upper bonding areas.  > Application depth 0.5 mm

    1. 3.1  Also apply a bead of adhesive all around the bonding surface. > Application depth 3 mm 
  4. Rivet in seat cross member > Blind rivets, top.

  8. Apply a full steel weld to the seat cross member > Full weld seam using inert gas.

Preparing connecting strip for installation

  1. Drill bore holes for plug-welds through the seat cross member.

    > Diameter 8, 0 mm
