Removing A-Pillar Reinforcement

  1. Drill out spotwelds in the area -A-  .

  2. Heat bonding areas > Bonding area  using > V.A.G 1416 - hot-air blower  .

  3. Bend up A-pillar reinforcement (lower part) using > VAS 6635 - clamping pliers set, 4-piece  until the spotwelds underneath are accessible.
  4. Drill out spotwelds in the area -A-  .

  5. Open welded seam in area -1-  .

  6. Remove A-pillar reinforcement.
  1. Disconnect connection points > Connection points.

    1. 1.1  Drill out spotwelds > Connection points. 
    2. 1.2  Open welded seams in area -A-  .
    3. 1.3  Unscrew self-tapping screws -1-  .

  3. Heat bonding areas > Bonding areas  using > V.A.G 1416 - hot-air blower  .

  4. Remove A-pillar reinforcement.
