Removing Roof (Full Roof)

IMPORTANT: Adhesive tape serves as cut line.

IMPORTANT: The help of another person is required.

IMPORTANT:

Only cut through the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.

IMPORTANT: During separation make sure that the components beneath are not damaged.

Remove punch rivets > Punch rivets using > VAS 852 001 - body dent removal system, aluminum and > VAS 6790 - compact booster .

Drill through clinch points -A and B- . > Diameter 4 mm

Grind down welded seams > Welded seams.

Affix adhesive tape -1- along the edge of the roof on both sides at -Dimension A- . > Gap dimension A 30 mm

Adhesive tape on edge of roof
Mask roof pillars to protect them from damage and soiling.
Make cuts on both sides.
Remove roof (full roof).
Remove remaining pieces of roof -1- .

1. 9.1 Cut off laser joints on side panels.
