Preliminary Work
WARNING:
Highly inflammable or explosive materials
- Danger of fire or explosion
- → Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.
- → Use suction to remove ignitable vapours.
- → Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.
- → Contain leaked media using non-flammable absorbent material and put it in a container designed for this purpose for disposal in accordance with local requirements.
- → Secure collection containers/Vessels to prevent them from tipping over.
WARNING:
Caustic fluids
- Danger of chemical burns
- → Wear personal protective gear.
- → Ensure that there is good ventilation.
- → Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
- → If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.
Information
The battery voltage must not fall below 12.5 volts during the fuel pressure check.
- Remove engine cover (design cover).

- Connect a battery charger.
- Attach or mount a warning sign > Example of a warning sign
in a clearly visible position on the vehicle.
Example of a warning sign
- Relieve fuel pressure in the system.
- 4.1 Remove the cover from the fuse carrier in the front left footwell.
- 4.2 Remove fuse -1- for the fuel Lump row A, fuse 16.
- 4.3 Start the engine, wait until it stops and then re-insert fuse

- Have a clean canister that is suitable for fuel and a measuring cup ready.
- Connect > 9705 - test adapter-1 -

Fuel test adapter (shown on Porsche Panamera)
- 6.1 Place a cloth underneath the connection point for the fuel low-pressure line -2- .
- 6.2 Release and disconnect plug-in coupling for the fuel low-pressure line. Catch emerging fuel.
- 6.3 Connect > 9705 - test adapter -1- .
- 6.4 Position canister and secure it to prevent it from falling over.
- 6.5 Insert hose -3- into the canister.
