Installing Optical Waveguide (Instrument Cluster To Windscreen Projection Control Unit To Dvd Autochanger)

Information 

• New electric lines are secured at the mounting points for the old electric lines. 
• The damaged electric wire harness remains installed in the vehicle. 
• The damaged electric wire harness is only disconnected directly at connected components. 

Information 

• Do not damage the insulation on the optical waveguides during installation. 

Information 

The range of spare parts available for optical waveguides depends on equipment. There is a specific set containing the individual optical waveguides to suit the equipment in the vehicle.

Select the required optical waveguide and remove it from the set.

Insulate damaged optical waveguide and tie it to the main wire harness.

Secure new optical waveguide to section of line for DVD autochanger -1-  .

Cable duct cover

Open cable duct cover -1-  .

Unclip line bracket -3-  from main wire harness -2-  .

Secure new optical waveguide to main wire harness -2-  .

Clip in line bracket -3-  for main wire harness -2-  .

Close cable duct cover -1-  .

Secure new optical waveguide to main wire harness.

Left cable duct

Open clips -2-  for cable duct -1-  at the rear left door sill.

Secure new optical waveguide to main wire harness.

Close cable duct -1-  at the rear left door sill.

Secure new optical waveguide to main wire harness.

Unclip cable duct at the left -1-  from the inner sill -arrow A-  and -arrow B-  .

Secure new optical waveguide to main wire harness.

Clip in cable duct at the left -1-  on inner sill.

Secure new optical waveguide to main wire harness -2-  .

Route new optical waveguide to electric plug connection -1-  and security to the main wire harness -2-  .
