Removing Main Wire Harness In Passenger Compartment At The Left

NOTIFICATION 

Voltage peaks 

• Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit 
  1. → Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key outside of the transmission range (at least 5 m).
  2. → Switch off electrical loads before disconnecting or removing them.

NOTIFICATION 

Incorrect handling of main wire harness 

• Risk of damage to lines 
  1. → The main wire harness contains all airbag lines, antenna lines and optical waveguides.
  2. → The main wire harness must not be separated and is always replaced as a complete wire harness when carrying out extensive repairs.
  3. → If individual lines are damaged, shut off these lines and install new lines. Lay the new lines along the main wire harness and secure them to the main wire harness

   1. 7.1  Press locking lugs together -Arrows-  and disengage mounting housing -1-  .
   2. 7.2  Pull electric line out of the B-pillar.
8. Release and disconnect electric plug connections on belt retractor.

9. Unclip line bracket -1-  for section of line at the B-pillar -2-  and set section of line at the B-pillar -2-  down in the passenger compartment.
