Preliminary Work

  1. Loosen battery ground strap.

    > 978509 LOOSENING AND SECURING GROUND STRAP FOR BATTERY 

  2. Remove carpet at the front left.

    > 704119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT FLOOR COVERING

    Information 

    • Do not remove belt fitting. 
  3. Remove lower part of B-pillar trim panel at the left.

    > 70671903 REMOVING AND INSTALLING B-PILLAR TRIM PANEL (LOWER PART)

  4. Lower the headliner.

    > 708419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING HEADLINER

  5. Remove lower part of center console.

    > 68171900 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CENTRE CONSOLE

  6. Remove the Gateway control unit.

    > 903519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING THE GATEWAY CONTROL UNIT

  7. Remove transmission support.

    > 373819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING TRANSMISSION SUPPORT

  8. Unscrew fastening nuts -1-  and remove underbody panelling -2-  .

  9. Unscrew speed nut -1-  and detach heat shield -2-  at the front.

  10. Unscrew speed nuts -1-  on the heat shield -2-  .

  11. Unclip expansion rivet -1-  and remove B-pillar air guide -2-  .
