Loosening Main Wire Harness In Engine Compartment At The Right

NOTIFICATION 

Incorrect handling of main wire harness 

• Risk of damage to lines 
  1. → The main wire harness contains all airbag lines, antenna lines and optical waveguides.
  2. → The main wire harness must not be separated and is always replaced as a complete wire harness when carrying out extensive repairs.
  3. → If individual lines are damaged, shut off these lines and install new lines. Lay the new lines along the main wire harness and secure them to the main wire harness.

   Release and disconnect electric plug connection for throttle valve pressure sensor -1-  .

       • Risk of eye injuries 
         1. → Wear protective goggles.
    2. 34.2  Slowly unscrew Voss threaded joint on the air line -2-  and counter at the residual pressure retaining valve at the same time (the pressure retaining valve must not loosen!). Pull off air line.
    3. 34.3  Loosen lines from the brackets -3-  .
35. Pull line bracket -1-  with section of line for the chassis at the front right -2-  out of the holders.

    WARNING: Hot fluid 

    • Danger of scalding 
      1. → Let the fluid cool down.
      2. → Wear personal protective gear.

    Information 

    Collect emerging coolant using a suitable container and close off the ends of the hose and line using suitable stoppers.
