Preliminary Work

  1. Loosen ground strap for battery.

    > 978509 LOOSENING AND SECURING GROUND STRAP FOR BATTERY 

  2. Remove engine cover (design cover).

    > 108319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE COVER (DESIGN COVER) (V8 BITURBO)

    > 108319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE COVER (DESIGN COVER) (V8 DIESEL)

    > 108319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE COVER (DESIGN COVER) (V6 DIESEL)

    > 108319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE COVER (DESIGN COVER) (V6 TURBO)

  3. Unclip cover on wing at the left -1- (-Arrows-)  .

  4. Remove DME control unit.

    > 247019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DME (PETROL) CONTROL UNIT

    > Refer to the appropriate service information.

  5. Remove cooling fan housing.

    > 192019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COOLING FAN HOUSING

  6. Remove the windscreen-washer reservoir.

    > 926019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING WINDSCREEN-WASHER RESERVOIR
