Preliminary Work
- Loosen ground strap for battery.

- Remove the cover on lock carrier.

- Vehicles without power unit guard
Loosen front cover in the area of the front bumper and air duct brake.

- Vehicles with power unit guard
Remove power unit guard.

- Remove wheel housing liner front in the front bumper area.
> WM, 505619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER
- Only without Sport Design: Remove front wheel covers.
- Unscrew the fastening screws -1-
and remove the brake -2-
air duct.
