Installing Inner Roof Pillar

  1. Position the inner roof pillar and check that it fits perfectly.
  2. Remove inner roof pillar.

    Information 

    • Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface. 

    Information 

    • Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive. 
    • The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed. 
    • Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available. 
  3. Apply adhesive on marked joint areas > Bonding and rivet areas  of the body. > Application depth 0.5 mm

    Information 

    • Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface. 
  4. Apply adhesive on marked areas of the inner roof pillar > Bonding areas 1.  > Application depth 0.5 mm

    • Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface. 
  5. Apply adhesive on marked areas of the inner roof pillar > Bonding areas 2  . > Application depth 0.5 mm

  6. Also apply a bead of adhesive all around the bulkhead part -1-  . > Application depth 3 mm

  7. Install inner roof pillar.
  8. Rivet in the inner roof pillar in the marked areas -A and B-  .

    Area -A-  : > BLIND RIVET 999.190.229.01 

    Area -B-  : > FLOW-FORM RIVET 9A7.008.606.00

    Rivet areas

  9. Screw in self-tapping screws -1-  using > VAS 852 007A - FD bolt sockets  .

    > 5X00IN24 SETTING SELF-TAPPING SCREWS

    Connection points

  10. Resistance spot-weld inner roof pillar > Spotwelds 1  .
