Installing Roof Rail

Fit roof rail, check that it fits perfectly and remove roof rail again.
Information
- Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface.
Apply adhesive in the marked areas > Connection areas of body on the body. > Application depth 0.5 mm

- Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface.
Apply adhesive in the marked areas -A- and -B- on the front roof cross member.
> Application depth 0.5 mm

Joint areas
1. 3.1 Also apply a bead of adhesive all around the marked areas -A- and -B- .
  > Application depth 3 mm
Install no, rail.
Screw in screw and tighten to > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) .

Screw on roof rail
Join roof rail.
> 5X00IN23 REPLACE PUNCH RIVETS AND PENETRATED JOINTS

Rivet points
1. 6.1 Resistance spot-weld the roof rail in area -A- .
2. 6.2 Roof rail in front area -B- in direction of travel: rivet in. > FLOW-FORM RIVET 9A7.008.473 00
3. 6.3 Roof rail in rear area -B- in direction of travel: rivet in. > FLOW-FORM RIVET 9A7.008.606.00
4. 6.4 Rivet in the roof rail in area -C- . > FLOW-FORM RIVET 9A7.008.607.00
