Passenger compartment side joints

1. 1.1  Unscrew self-tapping screws -1-  .
2. 1.2  Remove punch rivets using > VAS 852 001 - body dent removal unit, aluminium  and > VAS 6790 - compact booster  .

Longitudinal member area

1. 2.1  Unscrew self-tapping screws -1-  .
2. 2.2  Remove punch rivet -A-  using > VAS 852 001 - body dent removal unit, aluminium  and > VAS 6790 - compact booster  .
3. 2.3  Remove friction weld elements -B-  .

Underbody joints

1. 3.1  Unscrew self-tapping screw -1-  .
2. 3.2  Remove friction weld elements -B-  .

3. 3.3  Remove punch rivets -A-  using > VAS 852 001 - body dent removal unit, aluminium  and > VAS 6790 - compact booster  .
4. 3.4  Remove punch rivets -C-  .
   1. 3.4.1  Grind off one sheet metal -C-  of punch rivets using a  belt grinder.
   2. 3.4.2  First centre punch the remaining punch rivets and drill a pilot hole through all layers. 

      > Diameter 3 mm
