Replacing Era GLONASS Emergency Call System

NOTIFICATION 

Voltage drop 

• Irreparable damage to control unit 
• Damage to control unit 
• Fault entries in the control unit 
• Control unit programming/coding is aborted 
• Malfunctions in the control unit, even during programming 
  1. Switch off ignition before disconnecting the control unit.
  2. Make sure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming/coding.
  3. Connect the battery charger with at least > current 90 A  to the vehicle battery.

Make sure that you have sufficient mobile phone and satellite reception.

The procedure described here has been structured in general terms. Different text or additional information may appear on the PIWIS Tester. 

The ERA GLONASS control unit is in the gateway control unit.

1. Connect the Tester to the vehicle and start it. Switch on ignition.
2. The emergency call button indicator light in the roof console must be permanently green.

3. Place original remote control (hand-held transmitter) in emergency start tray.

4. Select the vehicle type if required.
5. Select the Gateway  control unit in the overview.  Press F12 to continue.

   The message "Create Vehicle Analysis Log (VAL)?" appears. Press F11 to continue.

6. Actual values/input signals  must now be selected.
7. ERA GLONASS  must be selected. Press F12 to continue.
8. Internal SIM card, identification: ICCID  must be selected. Press F12 to continue.
9. Take note of the ICCID and pass it on to the customer.
10. Activate ERA GLONASS emergency call system.
