Preliminary Work (Vehicles With Reversing Camera Option)
Information
Calibrating the reversing camera balances the tires, chassis tolerances and installation tolerances of the camera.
- The > VAS 6350A - Calibration unit and a > VAS 6350/2A - Spacing laser are needed for calibration.
- During calibration, the control unit for the reversing camera calculates the vehicle-specific adjustment values (e.g. image rectification) for the camera image.
- After the actual calibration process, the rectified image can be seen on the vehicle display.
Information
Calibration must only be performed on level ground.
On vehicles with air suspension, switch on ignition, close the doors and set the air suspension level to Normal level (MEDIUM HEIGHT).

- Park the vehicle on a level surface and set up the > VAS 6350A - calibration unit
behind the vehicle in accordance with the operating instructions for VAS 6350. > Set-up overview

Fitting reflectors
- Align the work surface with the centre of the vehicle and adjust the line laser to suit the calibration plate in accordance with the operating instructions for VAS 6350.
- Clean reversing camera using a soft, clean cloth.
