Preliminary Work

Information 

Before removing the external communication control unit, the Porsche Vehicle Tracking System (PVTS) must be set to Vehicle Servicing mode. 

Vehicle Servicing mode can only be set by the customer  using Car Connect.

An alarm must not be active in the Porsche Vehicle Tracking System (PVTS).

Information 

On vehicles from MY 22  and the optional ERA GLONASS emergency call system,  the function of the ERA GLONASS emergency call system  is integrated in the control unit for external communication.

1. Loosen battery ground strap.

   > 978509 LOOSENING AND SECURING GROUND STRAP FOR BATTERY

2. Remove left front seat.

   > 720119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT SEAT - on "Removing"

3. Detach side trim panel on lower part of centre console until the joint in the carpet is accessible.

   > 68141903 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SIDE TRIM PANEL ON LOWER PART OF CENTRE CONSOLE - on "Removing"
