Installing Automatic Transmission

Information
- New labels must be affixed to the new components when replacing selected components.
These labels are required by law in China, for example - and in other countries soon. Ask your importer about the current country-specific specifications.
The labels must be ordered via PET based on vehicle and component-relevant data.
- All required labels show vehicle-specific information.
- These labels are not yet affixed to the drive spare parts when they are delivered. They must be affixed during repairs.
The following components must meet the relevant labelling specifications:
- High-voltage warning label on power electronics and electric motors at front and rear.
- Assembly label on connection cover on the front axle and rear axle.
- China high-voltage warning label on power electronics and electric motors at front and rear.
- China identification plate on power electronics and electric motors at front and rear.
- EIC (engine identification code) label for front e-drive and on front-axle subframe.
- China performance data label.
- VIN label on rear axle differential.
- Vehicle system performance label on B-pillar.
- Lift the rear-axle module -3- with the help of another person
and carefully place it on the rear axle.
Lifting the rear-axle module with round slings and workshop crane
- Remove tools and round slings and move workshop crane out of the work area.
- Secure wire harness to the rear-axle module.
- 3.1 Bottom:
Insert electric plug connections -1 to 3-
, clip in wire harness -Arrows-

- 3.2 Top:
Insert electric plug connections -1 to 4-
, clip in wire harness -Arrows-
. Fit and tighten screw -5-
.
> Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
