Preliminary Work

Only for removing the rear axle: 

1. Remove rear wheel housing liner.

2. Loosen upper control arm (rear) from wheel bearing housing.

   > 423519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING UPPER CONTROL ARM (REAR) .

3. Loosen upper control arm (front) from wheel bearing housing.

   > 423519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING UPPER CONTROL ARM (FRONT) .

4. Only for removing and installing or replacing the brake pads or brake disc:  Remove wheel.
