Preparing Roof Assembly For Installation

Information 

To make it easier to prepare and position the adhesive bead, a bead of adhesive is already applied to the new roof assembly.

Information 

• The surface coating of adhesive residue helps new adhesive to stick. Keep cut surfaces clean and free of grease and do not clean with cleaning solution. 

1. Remove adhesive bead > Bonding surfaces  from the roof assembly using > VAS 861 005 - scraper set  until a surface coating of adhesive residue remains.

2. Cut back roof assembly seal -1-  using scissors -2-  .
