Underbody Protection

Information 

• In the event of repairs, after painting or before fitting units, restore standard stone guard/underbody protection according to the following illustrations  .
• The surfaces must be dry and free of grease and dirt before applying underbody protection. Clean the areas with cleaning solution and a lint-free cloth  .
• Only apply underbody protection to primed panels  .
• The seam seal can be painted over when a skin has formed (about 15 - 30 minutes at 20°C, 50% relative air humidity. Higher air humidity or dampening with water accelerates the hardening process)  .
• Hardening can be checked by a nail test. Press your finger nail gently into the hardened material; if this causes no damage to the surface, the material can be painted  .
• Paint over underbody protection within 3 days  .

Information 

• The sealing compound  > SEALING COMPOUND 000.043.207.67 can be applied as underbody protection by spraying it on using  > VAS 6648 - Pneumatic Gun, 18 bar  .
