Removing Front Seat

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Move backrest all the way forward. Move front seat all the way up and all the way forward.
  2. Only for front seat on driver's side: 

    Move steering wheel to the very front, uppermost position.

  3. Release rear covers -2-  and pull them off the seat rail -arrows-  .

  4. Unscrew screws -3-  on rear seat rail.

  5. Move the front seat back fully and lower the rear seat surface.
  6. Remove ignition key and disconnect ground strap for the battery.

  7. Release front covers -4-  and pull them off the seat rail -arrows-  .

  8. Unscrew screws -5-  on front seat rail.

  9. Tilt the front seat -1-  to the rear, open up cut-out in the carpet -6-  and release and disconnect electric plug connections from the front seat -1-  .

    The help of another person is required.

    Information 

    Cover the door sill to prevent damage.

  10. Carefully remove the front seat.
