Removing Solenoid Hydraulic Valve For Valve Lift Adjustment (Cylinder 2)

Only for intake side of cylinder 2: 

  1. Remove partial load vent line for oil mist separator -2-  .
    1. 1.1 Press release buttons on both sides and loosen adapter -1-  .
    2. 1.2 Remove partial load vent line -2-  .

  2. Lift up moulded part -2-  .
    1. 2.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-  .
    2. 2.2 Lift up moulded part -2-  for easier access to the solenoid hydraulic valve for valve lift adjustment.

      Intake side of cylinder 2

  3. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  and remove solenoid hydraulic valve for valve lift adjustment -2-  .

    Only for outlet side of cylinder 2: 

  4. Remove partial load vent line for oil mist separator -2-  .
    1. 4.1 Press release buttons on both sides and loosen adapter -1-  .
    2. 4.2 Remove partial load vent line -2-  .

  5. Remove engine wire harness guide -2-  .
    1. 5.1 Unclip, release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-  .
    2. 5.2 Open engine wire harness guide -2-  and remove wire harness.
    3. 5.3 Screw off fastening nuts -3-  .
    4. 5.4 Remove engine wire harness guide -2-  .

  6. Lift up moulded part -2-  .
    1. 6.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-  .
    2. 6.2 Lift up moulded part -2-  for easier access to the solenoid hydraulic valve for valve lift adjustment.

    Outlet side of cylinder 2

  7. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  and remove solenoid hydraulic valve for valve lift adjustment -2-  .
