Checking Actuator Travel Of Parking-Brake Shoes

Information 

The actuator travel of the parking-brake shoes only needs to be checked for brake discs with an aluminum brake hub. Aluminum brake hubs are installed on the following brakes:

• PCCB 
• Grey cast-iron brakes (only for Turbo) 

1. Close electric parking brake using the button.
2. Read out left/right actuator position.
   1. 2.1 >9900 - PIWIS Tester 3  must now be connected. Then select Brake electronics (PSM) > Actual values/input signals > Left actuator position and right actuator position  .
3. If the value is greater than >Length 4.5 mm  , perform calibration.
